Authentic Stories from Diners
As a pizza lover and someone who lived in Italy for 6 years I can honestly say that The Woodyard absolutely nailed it. I had the Pizza Romana and it was delicious. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it. Brilliant atmosphere, excellent service. Awesome pizza!
Just been here for our work Christmas lunch (as we have for the last 3 years, as everyone loves this place) and I had the BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!!! It was a festive special, called the Chimney Sweeper and it really was something else!
The experience from start to finish was outstanding. We were greeted by a gentleman on the door who was incredibly welcoming and seated us straight away. Considering it was incredibly busy, the food came in perfect time. The pizza’s are delicious and a fantastic price for what they are. The deserts and amazing. Staff are friendly and gave a fantastic service. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
What a quirky but lovely pizza place. Get very warm inside due to the big pizza ovens but you can sit outside. Food comes out very quickly and is very tasty. Menus is a little confusing as it uses the Italian words for the items, but the staff are very knowledgeable so ask away. Had a chocolate brownie for dessert and the ice cream with that was fantastic. Was so excited to get eating I forgot to take my photos before I dug in!!
We absolutely love the Woodyard, it’s our favourite local family restaurant. We especially like the fact that they have a high quality pizza focussed menu. There is a limited menu of sides but they are really good. It has a great selection of deserts, including an amazing ice cream bar. It’s also a great place for a drink in the summer with a wonderful view of the boats and tide mill, The staff are really attentive and friendly. The service is also quick; we had our drinks within a few minutes and food within 10-15 mins of ordering. My only notes of caution are: - The restaurant is deservedly popular but not the biggest, so you may have to wait for a table at peak times. - The menu is limited mostly to pizza, so if you don’t like this as a meal, it probably isn’t the restaurant for you.
