Authentic Stories from Diners
We found the speed and organisation to be lacking, however this was made up for by a great menu and value for money. We made our own cocktails for £5 each, which was fun. Just a few details preventing five stars such as the disorganisation, a smoky seating area and no hand soap in the women's bathroom. Nothing that would prevent us going back!
The food sounded good from the menu but was woef xx ul in its execution. Soup of the day with half a sandwich was Tomato and Basil. I was assured it was home made (it was not). It was a jar or carton of tomato concentrate or cheap passata with some basil. the ham sandwich was made with a very strong smoked ham which was not nice. Mushrooms on Brioche were nice. Chips were overcooked and calamari were OK but the mayonnaise dip was acidic. Not somewhere I would return to. I have reviewed 100s of food establishments but this food was some of the least impressive. I did tell the waitress but was not offered any discount or explanation.
Had lunch here with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and the setting was lovely by the river (inside or outside). The atmosphere was very relaxing and it was nicely decorated. The service was quick, welcoming and very friendly (although this was on a week day). I had the fish wrap which was pretty good although there was more adventurous things on the menu I could have chose that also looked good! The great beer and cake selections were a bonus too. Would love to visit again
We had a fantastic team dinner at The Boathouse in Woodbridge on Tuesday. The restaurant kindly allowed us to hire out the entire venue, which created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for our group. Communication with Emma beforehand was excellent, she was incredibly helpful in organising the event. On the night, everything ran seamlessly: the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the waterfront location was lovely. A huge thank you to the team at The Boathouse for hosting us so well. We’d really recommend it for group events or special occasions!
An excellent find in a beautiful setting - modern industrial chic set against the harbour. There’s outdoor seating for pre- and post-meal drinks in good weather. The menu is innovative and the food absolutely delicious. Totally delicious. Service was well-paced but relaxed and smiley at all times, and the restaurant atmosphere had a busy buzz that was lively and enjoyable. This really is a place not to be missed if you are in the area.
