Really friendly helpful service & a very good Sunday lunch. One of the ladies (didnโ€™t get her name) noticed one of our party was looking quizzical at his beer and proactively asked if it was ok and insisted she should check & replace it even tho he said it tasted ok. Very impressive customer service.

It was recommended from a fried to take my husband for lunch for his birthday. The menu didn't really grab me but once our food came I was over the moon. Well cooked and well presented. Very tasty, quality ingredients. The drinks are a little pricey compared with other local pubs but again the food was worth the visits. Staff are cheerful and prompt for service.

Really good (pub)food and friendly staff. Exactly what you want after a hot summer day. We went here twice on our holiday for a meal, but should have gone more often, because the food is simply delicious.

Stopped in for an early lunch, had the Thai Chicken Curry, while my partner had the Minute Steak and fries which she ordered as a medium. Both were delicious, possibly THE best curry I have had when eating out. A credit to the chef. Washed it down with a bottle of 0.5% Speckled Hen - the combination is fantastic, leaving a lovely post-lunch glow that is hard to find in your average pub. The Atmosphere is lively and The Anchor happily caters for families and groups, but booking early is advised. Staff are friendly, fast and attentive. The location, opposite the cinema and waterfront or a quick walk up into town, is optimally placed. Look no further for a lunch date to set you up for the day ahead.๐Ÿ›๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘
