This is the best fish and chips shop in Suffolk, nay the world. The staff are so friendly, the food is so delicious and the vibes? 10/10. If you’re getting your fish and chips anyway else I don’t know what to say quite frankly. You’re making an unthinkable mistake.
No bull here with this genuine review, me an my friend both had cod an chips cooked to absolute perfection straight outta the pan, chips had that little bit of crispiness on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside as for the cod!!!! 100% perfect, the batter was deliciously cooked ALL the way through without spoiling that lovely huge flakes of the fish inside which was just how it should be cooked and not the rubbery overcooked dried up offerings you get from most fish an chip these days,we waited a few mins for our food which was worth every penny, methinks that a classy resteraunt would be extreemly hard pressed to deliver fare like this and as for the homemade Tartare sauce..never been a lover of it myself but my friend loves it..sumptiously beautiful and I believe homemade..glad I tried it..we sat in an ate, even that was a lovely experience at no extra cost btw! oh an lovely flaversome malt vinegar..plenty of yum yums all round to delight the two of us i'm gonna shout this at you readers.. YOU WOULD BE MAD TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE..thanks you guy who I'm sorry I didn't get your names but you've got this SPOT ON..next time I visit and even though my dietry needs say I should vehemetly stay away from fried food I will ignore all that for another portion here for sure From Paul the Hat who visited you 4.3.2026 thanks guys
I recently visited The Little Fish & Chip Shop and had a generally positive experience. The Highlights: • The Food: The fish and chips were very nice—tasty, well-cooked, and fresh. • Service: The staff were impressively quick. Even during a busy spell, the service remained speedy. • Convenience: There is handy free parking nearby, which makes a big difference. They also have a small eating area if you prefer to tuck in right away rather than taking it to go. The Downside: • Portion Size: My only real gripe was the portion size. It felt a bit small compared to other shops, so you might want to order an extra side if you’re feeling particularly hungry! Overall: A solid spot for a quick, quality meal, just keep the portion sizes in mind.
I visited the little fish and chip shop with my friend on Saturday 30th August. In the past my experience has been good. Sad to say that on this particular occasion, this was not the case. My friend ordered two cod and chips. We sat indoors and to my horror I bit down on something sharp in my fish. I thought I’d lost a tooth only to find a large sharp flint stone which had been inside my fish. I approached the young, dark haired man at the counter and told him what had happened. I explained that this could have been very dangerous if a child had choked on it. I wasn’t at all unpleasant, I just thought they should be aware. I was met with rudeness. The dark haired man said “yes it could be dangerous, it happens all the time and the stones are in his fryer” As I walked away shocked at his response, a girl that was serving at the counter, began laughing and mocking me. I have never encountered such appalling behaviour. At the very least you expect an apology and maybe your money back, I will never go back there again. Some of the young people working there just don’t care about safety issues and have the wrong attitude to be serving the public,
The Wait was annoying, was provided an electronic pager until my food was ready. Took around 15 minutes but to be fair it is all cooked fresh so I can't fault them especially after I'd received my order haddock was really really succulent and the chips were crispy and had a nice beef dripping flavor. Price was okay. Little bit high
