Authentic Stories from Diners
Went in for Breakfast with a friend & my 6yr old. Kids menu wasn't available and no options on Breakfast menu so had to give her bits from my plate. Both English Breakfasts were cold. Bacon looked like it had been cooked for 30seconds as was extremely soft and no crisp. Wouldn't bother with the breakfasts here. The other food on menu is okay ish... Everyone is young so don't always get the best service
This is second visit, and was perfectly satisfied again. Yes sausage wrap was 👌 as was the tea, coffee, service and price. Their was a very nice bar inside for your alcohol requirements.Even in December it's possible to escape most of the cold wind and sit outside. And finally parking was free along the sea wall. May struggle to park after noon.
The staff need some training in customer service and product knowledge. The lad behind the bar didn’t know if they had any bitter on tap. In fact, he didn’t know what bitter was. I asked for a bottle of bitter, he asked if I needed a glass, yes I did. I was offered a Coca Cola glass. I also got a sparkling water and was given a glass with lipstick on it. Then the food arrived. The server clearly didn’t want to be there. We bought 2 jacket potatoes with different fillings. They were brought to the table and dumped down. I said that they were different. He vaguely pointed to one of them and said that was the one with tuna. I understand it’s a busy time of year with temporary staff, but this low level of product knowledge and lack of customer service skills is really not acceptable. Train your people and put a visible supervisor on the floor to guide and support them.
Ordered drink and food at the bar and went back to my seat. After 15 minutes passed, there was no sign of coffee, I wanted to go and check , and I saw the coffee was ready and sitting at the bar (how long?) and no sign of it was going to be served soon. While 4 staff was chatting at the back of the bar. We asked for mayonnaise, then again waited for long, and had to chase them. The food was OK, but half of the chips were not cooked inside. The place and the view are great, but the service and food need improvement .
Stopped by for a drink and ended up sitting outside for a while just watching the waves — such a lovely, peaceful spot. The location is perfect, right by the seafront, and the outdoor seating makes it a great place to unwind and take in the view. We only had drinks, but they were well made and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and relaxed, and we never felt rushed, which made it even easier to just sit back and enjoy the moment. Would definitely return, especially on a sunny dayif you’re after a chilled drink with a great view.
