The Upper Deck Diner

The world talks of aldeburgh fish n chips !!! ...... I know chip shops have there bad days.... But when my partner comes home £25 with 2 fish n chips,the fish hangs over the edge of the plate (WOW omg) amazing........no....it's 3mm thick.... LITERALLY... All batter and skin......and honestly the middle had fish the size of a fish finger....that's all...... Quarter of the chips small hard unedable chips... Rest were soggy( although transporting 1 mile can cause this I know).... But sorry a high price for no fish.... Go elsewhere...never go there again...

My wife and I decided to take a trip to the seaside and since I haven't been to Aldeburgh for several years we chose to drive here. I also hinted that I wanted fish and chips from this restaurant. We arrived just before 12 opening time and the queue was already long. Luckily we got a seat, even if it ment sharing it with another couple. We didn't mind because they were really nice. Dinner didn't take too long to arrive. They were going table to table and when dinner arrived it certainly was a good portion. Fish was cooked well and chips too. They cook in beef dripping which is rare but it does make things taste better. Thanks for a great lunch!

Brilliant little restaurant room above one of the delicious fish and chips shops. The service here is relaxed and kind and the food so good we. One back year after year.

Lovely fish and chips. Good sauces too. Restaurant is above the fish and chip so food comes out quick. Table service with friendly staff.
