Authentic Stories from Diners
From arriving to leaving Henry was a very attentive waiter. He was polite, pleasant and friendly. He checked on us regularly and made our evening that little bit more enjoyable. Thank you Henry you are a credit to Prezzo and we will be back hoping you are working ❤️
Prezzo in Aldeburgh was our favourite Prezzo for many years, we don’t live locally so hadn’t been there for around a year. The restaurant was not busy, tables and chairs were not particularly clean and we had to wipe them off with the napkin… unfortunately the food was very disappointing, the bruschetta is no longer a mini pizza base, just three small slices of a baguette that was somewhat under cooked. I ordered an extra large pizza, it was not particularly large at all and just about acceptable in terms of taste and quality… service was good, the bill was an eye watering £80, two starters, two mains and two medium wines … it’s sad as we loved this Prezzo, do hope that they improve to where they were before, we shall probably try them one more time during the summer,
When I visited this restaurant it was fairly quiet, yet it still took around 30 - 40 minutes for our starters to arrive. After this it took another half an hour for our mains to arrive. Even after all this, my cousins entire order (starter and main) were brought out gluten free. Although this was rectified fairly quickly, it was still annoying as he was still waiting when everyone else’s food had arrived. Luckily we had a great server who sorted out a discount for his food. Now let’s talk cost. Our total cost was around £220 (after a 25% discount) for 7 people. Now this would be alright if the food was amazing, but quite frankly it is average and prices and high for what you actually get. However the staff were very friendly and all round welcoming.
This was our first visit to a Prezzo restaurant for several years, and we had a very enjoyable lunch today. We were regulars at the Beccles restaurant until it sadly closed. I must say that the Aldeburgh restaurant was excellent from a service and food quality perspective. We had a three course meal, and they were all very well presented and tasted great, and served by very friendly staff. We will certainly visit again and would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I attended here for a family meal a few weeks before Christmas, with my 7 year old, 4 year old and 8 week old baby. We were seated right next to the front door, which was quite disappointing as it was very cold and not very comfortable. The disappointment continued as our food took almost 45 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn’t at all busy. 2 of our orders were wrong and whilst they were rectified quickly, it was still extremely frustrating. The saving grace was the our server on the night (whose name I regretfully did not obtain), who was fantastic and organised a discount for us. Nonetheless, it was an overwhelming frustrating experience and I won’t be returning in a hurry.
