A cold and wet day in January was cheered up by the warm and friendly staff and setting. Log burners warming the outside and the lovely sizzling steak lunch with great chips. Staff nice and helpful, don’t miss the Mull Inn
We met friends here for lunch after a walk on the beach. The pub is warm and welcoming. Service was prompt and polite. We all had the fish and chips which were generous portion sizes and tasty. We went back after another short walk for coffees and it was relaxing and comfortable to sit near the fire and chat.
This is a review for the pub. We had a fantastic meal at the Mill Inn between Christmas and New Year. It could all have been so different with some raucous (but lovely) revellers reciting the 12 days of Christmas and a punter having a medical emergency. The man who served us (frankly one of the hardest working people I have seen in a pub) said it “was one of those nights”. For us, it was a great night, the food was delicious (my wife said the lamb was the best she’d ever had) and as mentioned, friendly service. If I were ever in Aldeburgh again I would be back in a heartbeat
Spent a few days over New Year in Aldeburgh and visited four times. Was very busy (New Years, obvs) and a lot of the tables had reservations but we were lucky and found a spot each time… nice atmosphere and friendly staff with a good selection of beers and food. Accommodating for doggos too! Looking forward to our next visit. Would recommend booking to avoid disappointment.
Came in here for food New Year’s Day, all of the tables were full and so there was no space, fair enough. We decided to stand for a drink to get out of the cold but were told to leave. Understand if they don’t want people standing if we are politely told to leave but we were told to ‘GET OUT’ rudely with my 83 year old grandma looking to get out of the cold. Had a couple of groups follow out behind us complaining at how rude one of the staff members was in getting us to leave. Rude staff, avoid like the plague. Disgusted.
