Aldeburgh Smokehouse

Noon tart, one of the best things I've ever eaten !! Haddock, cheese and onion tart just melted in the mouth.

We had lunch boxes. Prepared to order. Outside sitting on picnic benches overlooking the sea. In addition bought two pair of freshly smoked kippers.

When in Aldeburgh we always come to the smokehouse and get some delicious Noon Tarts to take home. This time we had the tarts for dinner and were very disappointed as there was very little if any smoked haddock in them. They could have been cheese and egg flan. We won't be buying any more.

To eat on the benches or beach or take home, if you like smoked fish they have everything from smoked eels to smoked pates. We had the large prawns which were so good, succulent and sweet, we went back for more.

Sea food is good. But staff inexperienced. « Sir sorry I can’t measure grams » lol. «- how to cook a lobster on the bbq - sorry I don’t bbq »; « -can you open lobster in half? - no i don’t like doing that » . Also priced are off the chart. Ok but can do quite better.
