Street is one of the many narrow residential roads within easy
reach of Woodbridge town centre and Treetops is a pretty, Grade
II listed, end of terrace cottage which has been lovingly renovated
by the owners to provide attractive accommodation for not more
than three persons.
Approached by a flight of steep stone steps
from the roadside, Treetops is positioned well above the road,
with views across the town roof tops to St. Mary’s Church and the Shire Hall on
the picturesque Market Hill as well as St John’s Church, and
Sutton Hoo in the distance.
On the ground floor of the cottage is a pleasant
little kitchen fitted with hand made pine units, old brick floor
and dining area, a sunny living room with a feature fireplace
with an electric log effect ‘woodburner’ and compact shower room with wash
hand basin and WC. From the kitchen, a flight of narrow, but well
constructed stairs lead up to the first floor with one double room
and a single room. Outside, is a spacious, sunny, patio area surrounded
by metal railings with seating overlooking the town and the ‘laundry
room’, located in the old out house, in which there is a
washing machine and tumble dryer and space for leaving any sailing
gear, wellies etc. There is a single garage a short distance from
the cottage as well as restricted parking on the road side.
Household amenities include electric cooker, fridge,
microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, ample kitchen equipment,
colour TV, a telephone for incoming calls only and full electric
night storage heating. Duvets, pillows and all bed linen, together
with tea cloths, are provided by the owners but NOT towels - although
these can be supplied, at a small cost, for overseas
visitors or for those travelling by public transport.
It is regretted that, due to the drop from the patio
to the road, this property is not considered suitable for children
under the age of five years, and pets and smokers are not permitted.
