Bawdsey is a sprawling parish tucked away on the Deben Peninsula, far from the bustle of modern day life. Rydal Cottage is less than a mile from the coast, and just a couple of miles or so from Bawdsey Quay, with the small ferry crossing to Felixstowe Ferry, at the mouth of the Deben. (map).
The accommodation is within our own home, which we share with our labrador dogs.
Visit our web site to see a list of some of the "things to do," that are all within easy driving distance of Rydal Cottage. This includes the world-renowned RSPB reserve at Minsmere, famous for the Avocet, after which Avocet Breaks is named.
Why not consider an Autumn or Winter break - the roads, towns, villages and wild life sites are less crowded. Not that "crowded" is a description often used for Suffolk!
