Tyne Cottage is an 18th century cottage and is a listed building. It was in the ownership of an Aldeburgh fishing family for generations. The cottage was purchased by the present owners in 1974 and they have tried to keep it as it was whilst making it more comfortable to live in.

Aldeburgh has a variety of shops including a supermarket, butchers, newsagents, banks, fish and chip shops, cinema and a good selection of restaurants, hotels and pubs. Recreational facilities include sailing on the River Alde at Slaughden, golf courses in Aldebrugh and Thorpeness, the meare Boating Lake at Thorpeness, and tennis courts in Park road, Aldebrugh. There is also a swimming pool at the Leiston Sports Centre. Details of the accommodation:

SITTING ROOM
A pleasant and comfortably furnished room with coal gas fire. Settee, ample easy chairs, coffee tables and lamps. Telephone for incoming calls only. (01728 452546). Colour television.

DINING ROOM
Again comfortably furnished with table and chairs and gas fire. Stairs to the first floor.

KITCHEN
Modern kitchen including electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, refrigerator and microwave.

FIRST FLOOR

FRONT BEDROOM ONE
With two single beds, bedside table and lamps. Wardrobe and chest. Duvets.

MIDDLE BEDROOM TWO (PASSAGE BEDROOM)
With double bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest and easy chairs, duvet.

REAR BEDROOM THREE
With two single beds and duvets. Bedside tables and lamps. Wardrobe and chest.

BATHROOM
Bath with shower, basin and WC

SERVICES
Gas may be turned on at the meter in the large cupboard to the right of the sitting room fire.
The instructions for the gas fire are in the welcome folder.
The electricity turns on at the meter in the cupboard at the end of the kitchen.
The water mains tap is under the work top to the left of the kitchen sink.
Water is heated by an immersion heater which runs on Economy 7 with a manual over-riding booster.

TYNE COTTAGE IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE.

SERVICES ARE CHARGED OCTOBER-APRIL INCLUSIVE
